Our Cost Data Sources & Accuracy Methodology

How we source prices, adjust for Georgia locations, and measure the accuracy of every estimate.

Where does Georgia Cost Estimating get its pricing?

We combine current supplier and subcontractor quotes, Georgia labor wage data and crew productivity, industry cost databases and historical bid results from Georgia projects. Rates are adjusted for the project’s location and updated regularly as market prices change.

Material Pricing

Material prices come from current supplier quotes and industry cost databases. Volatile materials — lumber, steel, copper, concrete — are checked more frequently and flagged in the estimate so you can plan buyout timing.

Labor Pricing

Labor is priced from Georgia wage data and crew productivity rates adjusted for project conditions such as access, height, weather and phasing. Prevailing wage requirements are applied when the project requires them.

Location Adjustments

Costs differ across Georgia. We adjust for metro Atlanta, North Fulton, coastal, Middle Georgia and rural markets based on labor availability, logistics, soils, wind and flood requirements, and local fees. See Georgia Service Areas.

Based on AACE International recommended practice ranges.

Every estimate states its class and expected accuracy range so you can carry appropriate contingency.

Quality Assurance

Every estimate is reviewed by a second, senior estimator who checks quantities against drawings, unit rates against benchmarks, and totals against cost-per-square-foot metrics for similar Georgia projects.

Limitations

Estimates are professional opinions of probable cost based on the documents provided and market conditions at the time. They are not guarantees of bid or final cost. See our Disclaimer.
